I was upstairs for 15 mins with the baby...
During that time, my then 4-year-old son unlocked the garage door (including the high slide lock), opened a SEALED can of paint and used a paint roller to paint the garage stairs
And the garage floor
Then he walked through the wet paint and across the brand-new floors. (They had been installed literally one week earlier.)
And painted an interior door--which is what he was doing when I came downstairs.
I screamed. No words, just screaming. Then I called my husband and screamed some more.
When I calmed down, I asked my son, "Why? Why did you do this?"
"Well," he said, "we've been making our house new with paint, so I wanted to make the garage new. I was just trying to help."
Kids! It's this and other similar (but not-so-intense) moments that inspired this t-shirt:
Really, how is it possible that kids can completely destroy (or repaint) a room in just a few moments? Every room my toddler leaves looks like it's been hit by a train!
OK, your turn. Let's hear about your sweet little trainwrecks!
